Who We Are!

John LaRocco Sr. was the youngest of 6 children and was born and raised in Michigan City, Indiana.  After he returned home from World War II in 1946, John settled down with his wife Marion and together, they started LaRocco Rainbow cleaners.  Two of his brothers and one of his sisters worked for him at the cleaning plant for many years.  John ran the business and Marion did the bookkeeping.  As their young family grew and they needed more income, John expanded the business and started making custom draperies to make ends meet.  Thanks to John and Marion’s hard work and dedication, they were able to send all four of their children to college and see them all graduate.

In 1976, John Jr. returned home with a business degree from Indiana State University.  Together, John Jr. and John Sr. embarked on a new business opportunity and LaRocco Floor Coverings, Inc. was born.  45 years later, John Jr. and his wife Suzie are still at the helm of the family business serving the residents and businesses of Michigan City and the surrounding areas.

Today we are proud to carry on the lessons taught us by our parents many years ago.  Sell products that you believe in.  Only employ the very best installers.  Provide a zero pressure environment to all.   And treat every single customer like family (maybe even better!)…
